Schaknat Update: VAG Diesel Support Now Live
Good news for all diesel fans out there — especially if you’re driving a Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Skoda, Cupra, Porsche, or even a Bentley.
We have just rolled out an update that many people have been waiting for:
VAG diesel support is finally live, and it works directly through the app.
Even better — you don’t need new hardware.
The same Schaknat dongle you already use for trucks or other vehicles works perfectly fine.
What’s Included
This update covers the majority of VAG diesel engines built between 2010/2011 until May 2020, plus a few that go up to May 2023 (mainly the transverse 3.0 TDIs).
So if you’re driving a TDI Golf, A6, Superb, or even a diesel Tarraco — chances are, you’re already supported.
The process is simple:
-
Plug in your usual Schaknat dongle (yes, the one you use for trucks).
-
Open the app and pick VAG from the list.
-
Choose your exact model and engine.
-
Flash your engine or transmission, or both.
That’s all it takes — a few minutes later, you’re done.
Why It’s Awesome
Here’s what makes this update special:
🔄 You can switch anytime between stock and tuned.
Want to go back to factory settings? No problem — just flash it back whenever you like.
⚙️ Full engine and gearbox optimization.
Sharper throttle response, smoother shifting, more torque — the whole package.
🔐 Your license stays active, even after dealer updates.
If the manufacturer updates your ECU, your Schaknat license still works.
You just need to read the ECU again once — and if that version isn’t yet on the server, we’ll add it quickly.
It’s built to be flexible, fast, and future-proof.
Real-World Benefits
VAG diesels have always been great to drive, but now you can really bring them to life.
With the Schaknat app, you can:
Add extra torque and smoother power delivery
Improve fuel efficiency
Adjust gearbox behavior to your style
Keep full control without losing your original setup
It’s the same hardware you already use — just with way more freedom.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Like any tuning, it’s important to be smart about it:
Check local rules before flashing.
Keep in mind that tuning might affect warranty or insurance.
Always use the official Schaknat software — it’s tested and safe.
This update isn’t about pushing limits — it’s about making your diesel drive the way it should have from the start.
Final Thoughts
If you’ve got a VAG diesel built between 2010 until 2020, or one of the newer 3.0 TDIs up to 2023, this update changes the game.
✅ Same dongle as before
✅ Works fully via app
✅ Tune both engine and gearbox
✅ Switch back to stock anytime
✅ License remains valid, even after dealer updates
That’s pure flexibility — and exactly what diesel drivers have been waiting for.
