schaknat workshop

How it Started

Schaknat Electronic is not a company that appeared overnight. Since 1990, a passion for technology and performance has been at its core. Today, in its second generation, Peter Schaknat carries this legacy forward.

In 2020, the idea was born to rethink chiptuning: no workshop appointments, no waiting, no detours – just a dongle, an app, and the freedom to unlock your engine’s full potential yourself.

By the end of 2021, the Schaknat App went live. What started with truck protocols has expanded ever since: Mercedes, Scania, Volvo, Renault, Iveco Daily – and now even VAG diesel passenger cars.

With over 3,600 licenses sold each year in the German-speaking market alone, one thing is clear: we don’t just dream – we deliver. Today, the Schaknat Dongle and App are available across the EU, the UK, and the USA. And while others are still talking, we’re already working on certifications and approvals that will bring our chiptuning legally to public roads.

Schaknat is more than technology. It’s courage. It’s vision. It’s the moment when an idea becomes a new chapter in tuning history.
